Abstract:
The subject of the project is an agricultural information system which, using sensor data obtained noninvasively from sheep, enables conclusions to be drawn about their behavioral dynamics. The information obtained in this way is used to identify problems of the sheep and the threat of predators at an early stage, thus enabling early intervention and careful animal use, as well as reducing animal losses. As expected, these factors also increase the profitability of the company, for example by reducing health and replacement costs. The aim of the project is the development and testing of an agricultural information system which - using non-invasive sensordata obtained from sheep - enables conclusions to be drawn about their behavioral dynamics. The focus is on a cost-effective tool for sensor-based monitoring and analysis of the welfare and health status of grazing sheep flocks (primary) and other types of husbandry (secondary). According to the plan, this independent system consists of a sensor belt and a data analysis tool.
