The symposium aims to bring together scientists working in different fields of learning and cognition in various animal species.
The presentations will cover topics on the current state of farm animal cognition as well as how knowledge on the cognitive capacity of animals can be applied into husbandry practices to tackle welfare issues.
Roundtable discussions will offer the opportunity to reflect on these topics in the light of current limitations and future interdisciplinary approaches and applications.
A relaxed time schedule of the symposium will provide sufficient time for a broad discussion and for personal contact and exchange between the participants.
(The registration for the symposium has been closed.)
