Animal proverbs are proven or disproven with the help of current research findings
Everyone knows them, everyone uses them from time to time, consciously or unconsciously - animal sayings. There are so many terms and sayings. But where do they come from and what is the truth behind them? Marianne Zenk from the Research Institute of Farm Animal Biology (FBN) in Dummerstorf explores these questions in the children's university lecture "Stupid sow and stupid cow - on the trail of animal idioms". With insights into the stables and current research work, some questions will be answered.
So overcome your inner bastard and make your way to the Audimax lecture theatre in Rostock's Ulmenstraße on 23 November 2022, but make sure you don't sweat like a pig.
If you make it in time, the cow will be off the ice and you'll be lucky if you get a seat.
Look forward to a cool, exciting and interesting afternoon.
