The Research Institute for Farm Animal Biology (FBN) in Dummerstorf near Rostock stands for responsible, socially accepted livestock farming as part of sustainable agriculture. Around 300 employees from the fields of science, technology, laboratory, stable management and administration conduct research on and with animals on topics such as biodiversity, sustainable resource utilisation, animal welfare and animal health. This year we are once again organising an "Open Day" on our campus and we look forward to introducing you to our work with lots of activities for young and old. With the Open Day, the FBN would like to continue the successful tradition of this event and make its current research accessible to the general public.
The State Research Centre for Agriculture and Fisheries MV (LFA) will once again be taking part in the Open Day with its Institute for Animal Production and presenting practical research in an understandable way.
The open day will be held in conjunction with the park festival in Dummerstorf.
